I
would hope by now, everyone is aware the General Law Committee has
agreed to allow discussion on the
ceu
law that was
pushed thru without our knowledge.
The public hearing is tentatively scheduled for March
10, 2005.
I’ll post the exact information once I am sure of it.
First of all thanks to all that
made calls, sent e mails and contacted your reps.
You made a difference!!!! Congratulations.
Remember, without teamwork, we have nothing!!!!!
You all made this happen!!! What’s
equally important is the fact that the legislators recognized your
concerns and acted to rectify the problem.
Please take the time to call each and every state senator and
state rep thank
them for their help.
We
couldn’t have done it without them. From
my area, Senator Stillman, Senator Prague, State Rep Ed Jutlia, State
Rep Betsy Ritter,State Rep Ernest Hewitt, former State Rep Gary
Orefice, former State Senator Melodie Peters, Senator Hartley, the
list goes on and on Please
e mail me all the names so I may post the list on the web site.
The fact of the matter is they listened and acted accordingly.
We can’t thank them enough.
Additionally we should thank State Senator Thomas Colapietro
and all the members of the general law committee for allowing us to
voice our views. Special
thanks are also in order to my good friend Jay Levin who at no cost
spoke on our behalf. We
have only 2 weeks to prepare for the public hearing.
As I stated previously, the hearing is tentatively set for Thursday March
10. That’s
a work day, so I know it’s difficult to take the day off and attend.
I encourage your attendance in Dear
Members of the General Law Committee,
Public
Act No. 02-142 (AN ACT CONCERNING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICIANS AND PLUMBERS) was
proposed and pushed thru by special groups without my knowledge. A
more effective method should be considered to keep us informed Thank
you for your consideration _____________________
