The performance is occasionally sloppy but the enthusiasm is infectious. The bonus tracks on this disc consist of

Just a word before you listen: The excitement in this album is contagious!
It's the inevitable excitement The Beach Boys whip up to gale force everywhere they appear.
And it's all here in these longplay grooves - the wild applause, the shouts and screams,
the stampede to the stage at the final curtain - because this is a faithful "live"
recording of a real Beach Boys concert, staged last August 1st, at the Civic Auditorium in
Sacramento, Calif.
The crowd began arriving three hours before the show. One hour later literally thousands of fans were lined up around the block waiting to pack the auditorium. Inside, they found a stage full of showmanship and a program full of wonderful songs worth every minute of the wait. From the first electric moment of their fast-paced show, the Beach Boys generated a very special warm rapport with the audience that had fans reacting to their every gesture and every inflection.
(Incidentally, those wild shrieks from the girls in the audience at the end of "Graduation Day" were brought on by an off-mike vocal note from Dennis, back at the drums - just one instance of the rapport mentioned earlier!)
