My rendering of TUDM Hawk 200 based on Airfix Hawk 100. The nose is sculpted based on kit original nose. I relocated the cockpit. Refueling probe from Hasegawa A4C spare bent probe.Fin extended. Fin radar warning scratchbuilt. The canopy is from Academy F15 |

Here's how I made my hawk 200.Outline one half of the fuselage kit on paper. Then with a good picture of Hawk 200 side view, draw the 200 nose over the outline. This basic schematic would give you a good idea how much to surgically cut/remove excess plastic from the kit and to relocate the cockpit and nose wheel area. |

Once the nose area of the donor kit is prepared and the cockpit location is determined, joint the fuselage together. Fill the gaping hole with plastic strip, wood or anything else to create a foundation - this doesn't have to be pretty. Then spread Tamiya epoxy putty over the foundation to roughly shape the 200 nose into shape. I used the quick dry type Tamiya epoxy putty - RM19 per box! Let to cure and later file/sand into the desired shape.
Voila! It's not perfect but close enough.
