1/72 Supermodel MB339AM  Thomas Ng
M34-01 No. 3 FTC TUDM Kuantan
The Aermacchi MB-339AM, or locally knows as  'Macchi', is RMAF intermediate trainer with a secondary light attack role.  A total of twelve aircrafts were ordered and delivered in 1983.  Macchi served with FTC 3 in Kuantan before joining the BAe Hawk 108/208 to form the composite no. 15 training squadron in Butterworth. It's form here that the TUDM pilot get the first test on their Fast jet training.

With 6 hard point and a maximum weapons load of 1814kg, the Macchi can carry a variety of bombs, rockets and gun pods to fulfill its secondary ground-attack role, the MB-339AM is set to soldier on for the years to come, and in fact RMAF had announced to acquire a new batch of MB-339CD from Aermacchi in 2006.
The macchi wear a unique dark yellow/ Dark green camo, the paint scheme chosen in this model depict the early paint scheme with the orange training band, later the orange band were removed from the aircraft to suite it secondary ground-attack role.

This model was build OOB,  the raised line was rescribed. Color used are Tamiya dark yellow, Gunge dark green, Gunze Orange and Gunze off white on the bally.
