Imagine for a moment that God is standing in the center of a circle. You and everyone else in the world are holding hands and forming a circle around God. You all start dancing in a circle around God. As you travel around the circle, your view of God keeps changing, but it is your view that has changed, God hasn't moved. Now imagine that everyone stops dancing and walks forward toward God. Everyone will reach him. Their path is not your path, but they will get there. Your path is not the "right" way or the"only" way.
You don't have to change your religion to appreciate the wisdom and the methods of other traditions. I know more than one Christian who uses Buddhist chanting to relax, yoga and kriya breathing are beneficial to all, there is a lot of wisom and beautiful imagery in Chinese philosophy. And don't get me started on Native American spiritual traditions. It may aid you on your path to explore the spiritual practices of others. When something resonates within you as something that you should be exploring, go ahead. Incorporating a new practice into your system might bring on incredible change.
