| Days of The Week: In many other languages (besides English), the days of the week are named after the planets. The only exception in English is "Sunday." In Spanish, Lunes, Martes, Miercoles (Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday) are Moon, Mars, & Mercury---and so on. In English, Monday might have originally been "Moonday." Do you think that it's a coincidence that various cultures named the days of the week after astrological planets? Of course not! Let's explore this a little more. Each day of the week was thought of as having its own unique vibration or energy. There were numerous correspondences for each day, each resonating with that same energy. Each day was associated with a certain color or colors, with a scent, an herb or flower, a gemstone, angels, a universal law, a chakra, the list is endless. Each day vibrates in tune to a certain human need or expression. Let's take a brief look at the correspondences of each day just to introduce you to some of the concepts: MONDAY-- The energy of peace & tranquility. Its main color is blue, but silver and white can also be used. Its scents are lilac and sandalwood. Monday centers on the energies of the Moon. It's a good day to pray for your mom, and in general to do healing work for your family. This day also corresponds to dreams, intuition, and spiritual pursuits. Angels associated with this day are the archangel Gabriel, Arcan, Missabu, and Abuzaha. Missabu is an angel that administers peace on this day. And Abuzaha is the servant angel of Monday, he is responsive to prayers and invocations. A moonstone or a piece of blue lace agate nicely represent the energy of Monday. Tuesday-- The energy of luck, positive thinking, and confidence. Its colors are pink or red. Its scents are jasmine and lilac. Tuesday centers on the energies of Mars. It's a good day for business ventures, mechanical things, and confrontation. Some of Tuesday's angels are Camael, Sameal, Satael, Amabiel, and Friagne. Camael is said to take the form of a leopard or a great cat when he appears in dreams and visions. Camael is a member of one of the Magnificent seven---the seven Archangels. Samael is said to walk in both worlds, and he inspires us to think magically. Wednesday-- The energy of wisdom, study, & correspondence. Its color is purple, although orange can also be used. Wednesday centers on the energies of Mercury--the planet of learning and communication. If you can only study or work with your psychic tool one day a week, this would be the day to do it. A mixture or jasmine and sandalwood is a good scent for this day. Wednesday's angels are Raphael, Miel, and Seraphiel. All three of these angels are said to be guardians of the planet Mercury. Seraphiel is chief in the angelic order of Seraphim. A piece of amethyst or an amethyst cluster nicely represents the energy of Wednesday. Thursday-- The energy of abundance. This is Jupiter day and it's concerned with prosperity, security, and self-improvement. Its color is green, although royal blue can also be used. Patchouli and sandalwood are the scents for Thursday. Jupiter is the largest planet--so this is a day to think big. Thursday's angel is Sachiel. Find a green or blue-green stone that reaches out to you and use it as your Thursday stone. Friday-- The energy of love and happiness. Its colors are reds and pinks, and also emerald green. This day is ruled by the energy of Venus. Rose and Ambergris are the scents of the day, musk can also be used. This is a day for matters of love, human interaction, artistic expression, party planning, and SHOPPING! (Yea, shopping!) Friday's angels are Ariel and Rachiel. Rachiel is concerned with human sexuality. Saturday-- A day for banishing--for getting rid of negativity. This is Saturn's day and the colors are black and white. Ever wonder why clergy traditionally wear black? Well, black repels or turns back negativity. The scents for Satuday are lavendar and lilac. This day rules over legal matters, the eldery, the dying, lonliness, and bad habits. If you want to get rid of something, this is the day to ask for spiritual help with it. This is a good day for literal and spiritual housecleaning. Do some psychic cleansing. Saturday's angels are Cassiel, Machatan, and Orifiel. Cassiel is the angel of solitude and tears, he will comfort you if you're lonely. He is also known as the angel of patience. Sunday-- A day of health, growth, and regeneration. This day is ruled by the Sun and its colors are gold and yellow, although light blue can also be used. The scents for Sunday are orange, vanilla, and lavendar. This is the day to pray for health--yours or someone elses's. The archangel Michael is the angel of Sunday. He is an angel of protection.
