CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL Christ the King Parish Elementary School fosters the development of Gospel values in each student. We lead our students to follow Jesus faithfully and to make positive contributions to society. The faculty cooperate in Commitment to instilling values and morals through respect for self, others, and God. Teaching students to be positive members of society by encouraging growth in intellectual and social powers. Keeping the love of Christ as an integral part of daily life. Inspired by Christ's words, "I came that they might have life and have it to the full," we dedicate our efforts to the education of others and ourselves. Fully aware of the accelerating changes in society, we work diligently to set our students on an unending pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. As we personally direct our students to develop Christian attitudes that illuminate the values of the transient and the permanent, we endeavor to show Christ-like warmth and concern. Through faith, hope, and charity we have the power to create a joyous environment where students and teachers can expand their minds and hearts. While we guide students to acquire skills, learn concepts, and make judgments, we honor responsible freedom. We believe that true education leads a person to discern and love truth, to follow right reason, to reverence of God and all His creation. In a spirit of love and sacrifice, we endeavor to seek and transmit truth through Christ who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Committed to the education of young men and women, we the faculty of Christ the King School, strive to achieve the following goals: 1. To transmit the Christian message and to educate our students to develop a mature and personal relationship with Christ. 2. To help each student to fuse religious truths and moral integrity with life in contemporary society and our world of technology. 3. To foster in our students a positive self-image and a spirit of inquiry and discovery. 4. To provide our students with fundamental knowledge and usable skills to prepare for life's work. 5. To extend the interest and concern of our students beyond themselves into the total community. 6. To give witness to the meaning of Christian service by our dedicated effort to instill Catholic truths and wisdom in a community of faith. 7. To use our abilities and aptitudes, our time and talents, with a spirit that best serves others. 8. To initiate those changes and innovations that will improve the education of our students to prepare them better for life in today's world. 9. To respect and appreciate the cultural, the mental, and the ethnic differences of those in our apostolate and respond sensitively to the challenges of race, poverty, and religion. 10. To encourage the involvement and active cooperation of parents as partners in education. As we endeavor to carry out these objectives we envision our students growing into men and women able to understand and cope with life, willing to serve others, and impelled to worship God. | ||||||||||||||||||||
