My Cover Letter
To Whom It May Concern:

I wish to be considered for a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering position with opportunity to work independently as well as with teams to share and expand ideas, gain hands-on experience, and advance while perusing my master's degree.  I am interested in becoming an integral part of a company where I may use and enhance my analytical, technical, and problem solving skills, as well as my creativity and strong background in PC and applications software including experience with Pro/E and UG.  I would also welcome the opportunity to travel as often as necessary and anticipate a starting salary in the range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

My education at Central Connecticut State University has afforded me design engineering experience, practical exposure to various manufacturing techniques, and experience in creating CAD drawings in such courses as Senior Project, Materials Processing II, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing respectively.  I have also developed strong team, leadership, and communication skills as a member and officer of several clubs and organizations at both Tunxis Community-Technical College and CCSU.

I received my BSMET in May 2001 with Honors.  I am currently employed as a Proect Engineer with Innovative Solutions & Automation, LLC of West Hartford, CT.  I was previously employed as a math teacher at A. I. Prince RVT School with the Connecticut Department of Education.  I was in the state's employ since March 1993.  My experience as a clerk in various areas with the Department of Revenue Services, my positions at A. I. Prince as an office assistant and teacher, as well as my involvement in several scholastic organizations has given me a broad base of knowledge to draw upon.  I would appreciate the opportunity to work in a company where I feel I would have a positive impact and would like to play a role in its continued success.  I would be pleased to schedule an appointment to discuss employment opportunities with you.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
