I have recently read through the book ‘The Ultimate Frankenstein’. It is a collection of short stories by various authors who add on to, tell from another perspective, interprets, or sets the story in modern times, the tale of Frankenstein. A rather good book, many of the stories draw from the book itself while others take ideas from the Frankenstein movies (notably the 1931 movie). And example would be the one where the monster is made using the abnormal brain of a girl who wakes up in the monster's body and starts killing her traitrous finance.
