NEWS:
[JULY 2011] Server is back up after a couple of months of loss of interest. Mod is now run with darkplaces to simplify getting the right files when you connect. You can still connect with other clients, but you need the new pak file in your game directory. New stuff includes weather effects on some maps, such as rain, thunder and wind sounds. There is no more ' always run ' feature, and you are able to sprint using the SHIFT key bound as "+SPEED". This is still experimental, so dont over use it, or else you lose the sprint completely. Fixed some bugs with the bot regarding their 'sanity' (nextthink). Dropped backpacks from killed players or bots, now float in the water or at the surface. Its recommended you wait until all bots leave the game during the intermission, else it creates problems on the following map.
[March 2011] Decided to finally put some serious effort into reviving the mod, and putting up the server. Special thanks to the hardcore players on quakeone.com for their support. I plan to continue modding the code for the game, too many things are in my mind to list in any kind of understandable way <grin>. Some may be best done at the engine level, so I will need to form some kind of relationship with an engine coder to ask these questions to. Right now, I plan to make the multiweapons feature bug free, and have the female player model as a viable option when you join the game.
[2002] Added a Blaze Gun by popular Request. Runes Now Show up in the status Bar if you have one. Overhauled Waypoints For Maps DM5, DM6 & E4M3, so Bots Play a little better on them. Sounds made while in Liquid are lower amplitude than when on land. Runes Move around the map more often if not picked up & they also may fly in air. Selecting the hook will no longer show the Axe in your Hand.
