Plans for the Future

Much more Hamptonese text needs to be transcribed and analyzed.

Statistics for Gullah will have to be compiled to test that hypothesis; a few trials may be needed to map the phonetic symbols of Gullah in Turner's book onto Hamptonese symbols.

The items in the Throne are tagged in English and Hamptonese; these could be a Rosetta Stone for Hamptonese in either case.  We will try to obtain this information.

A closer study of Hélène Smith's Martian language may give insight on how to proceed with a Hamptonese idiolect.

Further study of unread works in the bibliography and in Harryette Mullen's article's bibliography will be well worthwhile.  Persons from James Hampton's subculture may be able to help.
