Just Friends:  Cameron and Lana were raised in the same small Oklahoma town.  Over the years, they moved from “acquaintances” to “friends”.  After graduating high school, Cameron went on to college, graduated with a computer science degree, and then followed a career as a computer technician.  A few years later, Lana graduated high school and pursued a college degree in English education.  In the summer of 2002, Cameron decided to follow his childhood dream of becoming an airline pilot.  He moved to Florida to begin his training.  In the meantime, he and Lana continued their long distance friendship through the telephone lines. 

 I Do:  The telephone calls from Florida to Oklahoma started ringing more often and staying off the hook longer in the winter of 2003.  After a couple of flights, many letters and emails, and endless phone calls, Cameron proposed to Lana in April of 2003.  Following a trail of rose petals contained by a candle lit path, Lana found Cameron on bended knee surrounded by two dozen roses and a ring in hand.  The question was heartfelt, and the answer was obvious…"Yes!!!”  They were married on January 3, 2004, at their hometown church in Oklahoma.  Lana graduated from college the month before they wed. 

A Penske Truck and I-75:  After a year and a half of marriage and life in Florida, Cameron accumulated the flight hours he needed to apply for the airlines.  In May 2005, he applied at Comair, a regional carrier for Delta.  They hired him instantly!  Cameron and Lana began packing and moved to the northern Kentucky area the next week.  Cameron was officially a First Officer for Comair airline based out of the Cincinnati airport.  Lana began using her teaching degree by subbing in the county school system.

 Surprise!!!  It’s a Boy!!!  Before they were even married, Cameron and Lana felt God’s calling on their hearts to adopt.  They officially started the process in August 2005.  After encountering many road blocks, they put a temporary hold on the paperwork.  In January 2006, Cameron and Lana received a call from their adoption agency telling of a baby boy who had been born the afternoon before and placed for adoption.  After a quick prayer and several tears, they felt God saying…”This is the one.”  They drove to Indiana the next day to meet their son…Elias Benjamin.  He was gorgeous, perfect, wonderful, amazing…  Cameron, Lana, and Elias stayed in a hotel in Indiana for 4 weeks waiting for the completion of the paperwork. 

 Today:  Cameron is a great First Officer who is looking to upgrade to Captain in the next few years.  Lana stays home with Elias and occasionally substitutes when Cameron is able to be home with Elias.  Elias’s adoption was finalized in September 2006.  His favorite thing to do is play with the family cat, Boaz.  Boaz was adopted from a local rescue shelter in May 2005.  The Coppocks have recently joined a Baptist church that they enjoy worshiping at.  They fly to Oklahoma often to visit their family and friends.  They love taking walks and going to the park to play.
