Yes! There is a Chevelle Club in Connecticut. |
The Connecticut Chevelle Connection had its first official meeting in April 1991. The club was formed to establish an association of members for the purpose of encouraging the restoration and / or preservation of and promote a general interest in the 1964-1987 Chevrolet Chevelle, Malibu and El Camino. |
Membership is open to all persons, male or female, with a genuine interest in the 1964-1987 Chevelle, Malibu and El Camino (ownership is not required). Enrollment as a member does require an annual membership fee. |
Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month and presided over by an elected body of officers. Officers are President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant-at-Arms. All issues to come before the club are voted on by the club members and passed or rejected by a majority rules forum. Guest speakers are often included at meetings offering auto related topics or products. |
A monthly newsletter is sent to club members. It is used as a means of keeping members informed and includes a calendar of events, a swap and sell section, and features a photo layout of members cars and club events. |
The general idea of forming this club was to share ideas, technical information and any helpful hints or suggestions relating to the 1964-1987 Chevelle, Malibu, or El Camino. It is also intended to form an alliance among its members. |
