Profile/ Career Objective

I am an empathic and extremely hard working person - with a smile in my heart.
I love the aesthetic, creativity and innovation of life. I have wide ranging resources in skills, studies, work and life experiences. I am fluent in English and German Language.

Adding a fresh wind I am looking forward to support the development of children and young people with emphasis on their intellectual and emotional world within an open, innovative and creative team.

Skills

Communication:

Building up and sustaining professional work relationship with clients: In my first year of social work after study I was placed for a few weeks in the “Looked After Children”- team. After this I was going to be placed within the Children in Need team. Due to my advanced skills of establishing trust and working up good rapport with direct and indirect clients, I was asked to stay with the team, despite it being an advanced social work position.

Team work (Working with others):

In terms of improving and building up a network I am particularly proud of my work with a young Asian woman who was threatened with being forced into marriage by her father. I organized a close network consisting of the organization I worked for, the police, the housing association and an organization providing support in this specific matter. The outcome was that her father saw sense and promised not to put her into a forced marriage. She stayed in contact with the police as a precaution.

Management and Self-management (Improving own learning and performance):
I judge myself to be an intuitive and practical person with wide ranging skills. I am good at self–teaching - having self-taught drawing skills, playing the fiddle and improving skills needed for sugar craft (sugar flowers).

Calculating and Time Management: I have co–worked on the calculation work (time management, costs and resources) of the project “Logo Nova” (listed below/ “career history”), its implementation and presentation. This is a two year project and still ongoing. Having left Berlin, I am not a part of this project anymore.

ICT:

I supported colleagues with few or no ICT skills and also acquired basic web design skills (URL-address above).
