Other Groups' Area Events

We are aware that our members would be interested in other events in which you can watch dancing or be able to dance and practice the dance steps you previously learned.  As we find out about opportunities to see and do other things, we will post them here.  You will find the information organized by the following categories:

Local Dance Places

Spotlight Dance Studio events: Gwen Burton's studio has many interesting and fun events planned over the next couple of months:

  • Spring Show: A History of Dance: the Spotlight Dance Studio will hold this performance May 16th and 17th at 8pm.  After the elegant show, the dance floor will be open to dancing the rest of the night.  Seating is limited to 100 seats per night, so get your tickets early!  Tickets are $15 advance (before 10pm May 15th) or $20 at the door.  T-shirts for the event are available at $12 each.

The Spotlight is a great place for all the younger people to go and strut their stuff (people of all ages are welcome, of course).  For more information on these events, including directions and contact information, visit Spotlight's web site.

Swing at the Davis Grad: Every Sunday night at 8pm, the Davis Graduate has swing.  The cost is $7.50 (sorry, no discounts for UCD grads).
