Professional Experience

Implementation Consultant June 2000-Present

Gamma Enterprise Technologies Woodland Hills, CA

·    Went to customer’s sites to assist in the installation and implementation of the InfoShuttle software product.  Any issues or problems that arose during the installation usually had to be fixed or worked around on the spot.  Fulfilled duties as Gamma, on-site project manager and had to work closely with customer’s project manager to track and resolve issues and to ensure a successful adoption of the product.

·    Conducted four day ABAP, RFC and IDOC training and educational classes at customers’ site. The class’s purpose was to teach ABAP developers how to customize the InfoShuttle product.  The class was taught how to gather requirements, and translate them into ABAP code.  In addition, the class learned the technical architecture of InfoShuttle and how to modify InfoShuttle’s factory delivered settings.

·    Developed ABAP/4 objects for InfoShuttle, including IDOC management RFCs that extract, compile and move related sets of data in IDOC format between systems and clients.  These functions must adhere to a specific interface.  One function displays a select-option screen to the user and retain the input. Another function uses the select option fields to read from functional database tables.  A third function creates IDOCs based on the select options.  The fourth function posts the IDOC data into a remote SAP system.  This function utilizes existing SAP RFC, BAPI, or BDC functionality.  Functions have been created for the following SAP application: FI, CO, SD, WM/IM, MM, PM, HR-PA, PS, and PP

·    Maintained multiple ALE scenarios used for testing and reference purposes.  This included setting up and maintaining ALE distribution models, partner profiles, sender ports, and RFC destinations.

·    Designed and generated specialized IDOC viewing and modification interface similar to SAP transaction WE05.  This program used InfoShuttle’s proprietary IDOC tables as input, but maintained the same user interface as the SAP IDOC editing program to promote ease of use. (ALE, ABAP/4)

·    Created Business Connector Java and Flow services that distributed XML IDOC data via HTTP, SMTP, FTP, RFC, and ALE (ALE, BC)

·    Designed and implemented ALE scenario for sales pricing condition (COND_A) and rebate agreements  (custom) to automatically keep systems concurrent (ALE, RFC)

·    Supported functional testing cycle of software product (FI, PS, PM)

·    Spearheaded customer satisfaction survey to obtain key data regarding product usage

EDI Technical Consultant June 2000-February 2001

Bridgestone/Firestone (Under contract from Gamma Enterprise Technologies) Nashville, TN

·    Designed and implemented ABAP RFC IDOC creating and posting functions for use with a Gentran mapper and an EDI subsystem.  SAP IDOC types (X.12 document): INVOIC01 (810), DELFOR01 (830), ORDERS04 (850), DELIVRY02 (856),  (ALE, RFC)

·    Created GenTran mapping instruction documents.  These documents were to be used by Gentran mapper to map the X.12 EDI document to its SAP message type counterpart.

·    Configured workflow to handle notification of ALE posting errors

·    Created gap analysis documents to determine the difference between the legacy EDI systems and the proposed SAP EDI solution.  These reports required large amounts of information gathering as to ascertain the state of the current EDI solution.  It also required an in depth knowledge of the proposed SAP solution (SD, FI, EDI)

·    Developed SAP dialog transactions to maintain Federal Excise Tax information. These transactions interacted with custom tables and table extensions to implement federal taxation based on tire weights. (FI, MM)

·    Coded user-exits to bring outbound IDOCs into compliance with ANSI X.12 standards. These included advanced shipment notices and invoices (ALE, EDI)

·    Created BDC programs to automatically backflush completed tires against the repetitive production schedule.  This program generated goods movement documents to keep stock levels in sync (PP, MM)
