We're Unique, Just Like Everybody Else!

Right now, you're probably wondering just what Sea Scouts are, exactly. Why else would you have come to this page? So I'll tell you :

We're just like everybody else. No really, we are! We go to school, we play sports, we surf the internet, and we're certainly not goody-two-shoes. And we don't wear green epaulets, or form a horseshoe around a flagpole during ceremonies. We have a mock ship for ceremonies, we have our own unique epaulets, and we have stricter discipline than ordinary Scouts.

According to the official Scouts Canada line, we're just the nautical version of ordinary Scouts. That's accurate enough, as it goes, but it really doesn't convey what we are. We have our own ceremonies, our own accesories, our own traditions, even our own camps! Soon, we hope to go back to having our own uniforms.

Sea Venturers are the next level up from Sea Scouts. We're older, more mature, and run our own meetings. We run the Venturer program, and our company is basically run along corprate lines.

Of course, this explanation isn't really useful unless you know what regular Scouts are.
