The President Speaks....

Hi everyone,

This may had come too late, but I figured I should still write a little something, to let you all know what the Arts Fcg hopes to fulfill in the coming year.

First of all, our goal is simple, it is to build bonds between everyone in Arts (at least!). Freshies among themselves, seniors among themselves and seniors with freshies. But most definitely, God must be present in everything we do.

Thus, we are emphasising alot on cellgroup this year. In case you are still not in a cellgroup, the whole idea of it is to allow friends who are in the catholic faith to experience God together. In a smaller group setting, we hope that freshies and new css members would not be intimidated and be more open to new friendships in ArtsCss.

We also hope to have regular monthly gatherings, be it house gatherings, outdoor activities or praise and worship sessions in Nus, so as to create as much oppurtunities as possible for everyone to meet anyone! I really hope that you all had found the first gathering enjoyable, if not acceptable. It is after all just the first activity planned by the new comm., please forgive us if there are any dissatisfactions. We promise you that we will employ all efforts to make each activity as fulfilling as possible in future.

There would also be the usual one-off activities like the year-end retreat to thank God for the whole year. And the Christmas carolling, so as to bring some cheers and laughters not only to ourselves but also to those we are performing for. ( i hope its really cheers and laughters of joy for them..haha) So please make time for these activities in December, it is after all but once a year.

Along the way, we also hope to come up with happening and interesting activities, out of the cliche run-of-the-mill. So any form of suggestions are really welcomed and appreciated.

In a nutshell, we are really not trying to be different nor are we trying to create something ambitious. We are just returning to basics, straight down to the fundamentals, to build bonds of friendship and bonds of faith with God.

Simply, it is to journey in faith with God, together with our fellow brothers and sisters. So as to achieve a community of Love, where each and everyone of us are no longer strangers but one big family.

May you have an experience in CSS, which you will forever treasure deep in your heart.

Thank You for reading thus far, :)

In His Love,

Nicholas
