This site contains information (or links thereto) for leaders.
Upcoming training: Pack will reimburse leader upon submission of receipt. All training is available to any registered leader. PHSR = Pine Hill Scout Reservation.

Basic Training - TBD consists of New Leader Essentials, Youth Protection, & Leader Specific training (online). Leaders can attend Role Specific and/or Youth Protection training for free if they have previously completed Basic training (eg: previously trained as Tiger Den Leader can attend Wolf Den Leader training the following year for free). Youth Protection can now be taken online via the SNJC website (link above). Don't forget to take the online Fast Start & Youth Protection Training (see link above)! Will be offered again on 9/19/06, 10/17/06, & 11/18/06.

Outdoor Webelos Leader (OWL) training at PHSR - 4/27-29/07. Cost = $25 (includes food). You supply your own -camping gear! Form at SNJC website.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) - Sat 10/14/06, 3/31/07, or 4/14/07 at PHSR. Cost = ~$15 and you MUST preregister. This is a required course for leaders to complete tour permits. Form at SNJC website.

CPR/First Aid training - TBD. $15 for each session. Tour Permits shall require Youth Protection & CPR trained Leaders!!

Pow-wow - Sat. 11/4/2006 NJ location TBD 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Cost = $25/person.

REMEMBER: Tour Permits for Den activities must be received by Council 2 weeks prior to the event. A Leader who has completed Youth Protection & BALOO training must be present on all Tour Permits.
Pack 55 wishes to increase our membership, retention, visibility to our community, & Webelos to Boy Scout transition. All of our leaders are expected to support these goals.

Leader expectations
:
* Each year ALL Leaders are expected to complete requirements for the Award for their rank (see Chapter 25 of the Leader Book or link to Leader Knots above).
* Class A Uniforms (shirt, hat, neckerchief) will be worn by all leaders (& scouts) to all Den/Pack activities unless advised otherwise.
* Each Den will have a presentation (song, skit, jokes) at each Pack meeting. Pack meetings are (generally) held on the last Monday of each month at 7 PM at the Berlin Baptist Church.
* Leaders will support attainment of Quality Award & National Summertime Pack Award each year.
