My husband and I met in September of 1993. We had a "reverse courtship" — Normally couples date for years before they get engaged. But we had to be different — We were engaged almost immediately after we met (six weeks) — and my romantic fella even suggested we elope! — But ever practical me nixed that idea because I felt that everyone would think I was pregnant! Believe me, if I had to do it all over again, we would have eloped — planning a wedding causes way too much stress!

Despite my reluctance to subject myself to wedding-planning stress, we eventually did wed...two years later. As of this writing, hubby and I have been happily married for over five years and have been parents to five dogs and two cats...
