The show was being hosted by arthur magazine. Arthur is a cool rock magazine that sees the carlsonics for what they are: the future of real rock. Arthur is also cool because they have an informal relationship with the brewers of pabst blue ribbon- so they got free beer served at piano's bar before the show. the free PBR drew in many locals, but the sounds of rock eminating from the main stage at around 10pm is what really got everyone's attention. the main stage room was not really that big, but the sounds was good, and there was a large projection screen at the back of the stage which showed a loop of cool apollo-era NASA footage.
So they rocked hard, and they played like they were in their own back yard. a handfull of hardcore carlsonics groupies lined the front of the stage, but there was a significant amount of dumbfounded locals filling the room. the looks on their faces seemed to say: "who are these guys?" "they sure can rock!". i'm not embellishing. anyway, see for yourself below!!!
