Technical Notes:

- A Visioneer One Touch 8920 USB scanner driven by Nuance's Paperport software was used to scan the photos into Nuance's "max" format. (maximum filesize = 1.3 megabytes)

- Paperport was then used to resave the files in "jpeg" format (max = 132 kilobytes)

- Google's Picasa was used to export the files into smaller images. The ones on this page are no bigger than 7 kilobytes while the ones you summon by clicking on these images are no bigger than 35 kilobytes.
