Leap Year Club
Come all you girls
Just harken unto me
And I will tell you something
That will make your sorrow flee.
I've been thinking of it
Lately and its a fact
That some of the boys around here
Would like to try the leap year act.
We had thought Elmer Preston
Had long ago made a catch
But you had not better ask him
If you don[']t want to make a match
Arthur Stackleberg, the store boy
He's a young and sporty chap
Come girls and get busy
Ginger up and set your cap
John[n]ie Leckler is still hoping
That for him you'll set your sail
Courage girls! Do not falter.
But keep on looking for your mail
Fred Soost would like a helper
Needs one bad, he told me so.
Now if you will help him out
He will appreciate it I know
Now here is George Jones ...
