Location

To get to the Magnet Cemetery go to the intersection of Highway 20 (west out of Sioux City) and Highway 81 (north out of Norfolk). Proceed north on 81 looking for a handmade 'To Magnet' sign on a hillside on the right hand side of the road. Turn left on 59 and head west for no more than 3 miles. At Spur 10S, turn left toward Magnet. At this point, the cemetery is visible just ahead on the right side of the road.

Description

The Magnet Cemetery is situated on a hilltop with pleasant views of rolling countyside in all directions. People who have never resided in Magnet have chosen to be buried at this beautiful spot. A large cross, dedicated to the memory of Ellis and Bertha Tilton, appears in the last row along with a gazebo partially funded by Dan and Shirley Dawson. On special days, the driveway through the cemetery is lined with flags to honor those who served our county in the armed forces.
