Sept. 16, 1905, Andrew Bloomquist: a telephone message telling of the accidental death of Andrew Bloomquist a pioneer farmer in that section, who fell off the top of a haystacker struck on his head and broke his neck. Bloomquist lived south of Magnet and was 40 years old. He had been working in the field. While standing at the top of the stack he slipped in some way and fell to the ground.

April 23, 1903, Emma Dwyer, the popular teacher of the Magnet schools is being boomed by the Randolph Reporter as fusion candidate for County Superintendent of Cedar Co.

April 23, 1903, Magnet is going to erect a new 2 story, four room school house, in style and size very much resembling the Public School building of Wausa. Baggstrom and Broline, the Wausa architects have furnished the plans and specifications.

Dec. 2, 1904 earthquake at West Point was felt.

A number of young people went to Magnet where they were entertained by the Ladies Aid Society (1904).

Mr. C. F. Kelly of Magnet reports a dance at the Ashby Hall Saturday eve ( Aug. 13, 1903).
