| As a Command Sergeant Major and Senior Non Commissioned Officer, in all units I served, I demonstrated strict adherance to professionalism. For as a leader of soldiers, I am a member of a time honored corps, known as the "Backbone of the Army". I never used my grade or position to attain personal pleasure, profit or safety. Competence is my watchword, with integrity of word, deed, and signature as my bond. I strived to execute my duties and responsibilities to the letter. Uptmost in my mind was the accomplishment of the mission and the welfare of my troops. As the guardian of the colors, and overseer of tradition, I maintained self dicipline and led by example. My main duty was to be a soldier. This duty is not completed for I have joined the ranks of the United States Army Retired. |
