The Military has been my Family and Friend, Brother Non Commissioned Officers have came, stayed, and gone.

The Command Sergeant Major was born August 30, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He entered into active duty 8 May 1958 and was assigned to Basic Training in Company D 1/50th Infantry. Further assignment to the US Army Medical Corps.

In the 30 years of active duty there was a variety of assignments From Litterbearer to Medical Corps Branch Sergeant Major.
Service during tenure was as a Admission and Disposition Clerk, Ward Attendant, Ambulance Driver, Troop Aidman, Emergency Room Technician, Medical Clinic Supervisor, Medical Advisor, Medical Liaision, Wardmaster, Training and Operations Sergeant, Security Sergeant, Flight Platoon Sergeant, Detachment Sergeant, First Sergeant, Reserve and National Guard Advisor, Troop Command Sergeant Major, and Medical Center Command Sergeant Major.

15th Med Association

Oversea tours include two assignments to Europe and Five tours in the Republic of VietNam, Combat Operations include missions with Special Forces, Ranger and Foreign Field Forces. Medical Duties were with Infantry, Armor, Calvery, Aviation Units, Medical Brigrade, Health Services Command and with the Department Of The Army Staff.

A Graduate of Class 17 of the United States Command Sergeants Major Academy. Awarded 3 Bronze Stars, 3 Meritorious Service Medals, 7 Air Medals, 2 Air Medals for Valor, 3 Army Commendation Medals and 2 Army Achievement Medals. Authorized to wear 10 Oversea Combat Bars.

Other medals, ribbons and badges include, The Technical Service Ribbon and the Vietnam Service Medal with 12 Campaign stars, Unit Citation and Medals, The VietNam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and Meritorious Unit Citation. Awarded,German Army Bronze Markmanship Award, Expert Markmanship Badge, Aircraft Crewmembers Badge, and the Combat Medical Badge.

The Surgeon General of the United States Army has honored the Command Sergeant Major by selection as a Distinguished Member of the Army Medical Department Regiment, The Health Services Commanding General presented The Order of Military Medical Merit.

Upon retirement, from over 30 years of Distinquished Service, presentation was made of, one of our nations highest peacetime awards, the Legion of Merit.
