WIDESCREEN IN VEGAS
You can use widescreen to put black over things like that HUD or the HLTV bars on the top and bottom of the screen. It's very simle to do, and like zooming, is done from the 'Event Pan/Crop' properties. I always suggest using widescreen for HLTV clips and you may use widescreen to hide the HUD of POV clips or you can remove the HUD (refer to the 'Remove the HUD' tutorial).

1. Open your clip on the timeline
2. Click the 'Event Pan/Crop' button on our clip on the timeline (mid right of the clip, above the FX button)
3. Like editting a picture, click and drag the top or bottom of the picture to resize it

Tip: you can unclick the 'Lock aspect ratio' and 'Size about center' for more flexibility, especially when working with POV clips. These buttons are located on the toolbar on the left hand side of the box, 2nd and 3rd from the bottom

4. Drag the top or bottom to hide as much as you want
5. Exit out of the 'Event Pan/Crop' box and preview or render
