Maggi Cooking Competition

A cooking competition was held on July 15, 2001 at the Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan. The competition was organized by Maggi and open to secondary schools in the state of Pahang.

SMK Bukit Goh sent in a team made up of three Form 3 students, namely; Ayu Tini Marlene bt Mamat, Salasiah bt Abu Bakar and Afziani bt Abdullah.

Accompanying the girls were Cikgu Hazmah bt Hamzah [ Head of the Home Economics Panel ], and our beloved principal, Hjh Meriam bt Hj Samah. Hjh Meriam's presence inspired our young ladies to do their very best for SMKBG.

Our team prepared delicacies such as Nasi Sari Rampai Maggi [ rice dish ], Ayam Goreng Makmur [ fried chicken ], Kerabu Idaman Nestle [ raw vegetable salad ], and a dessert; Puding Sagu Fantasia [ sago pudding ].

For all their hard work, our girls only managed a consolation prize. Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Alor Akar came out tops, followed by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Temerloh in second place.

Although they did not manage to win any major prizes, we are proud of the three girls who trained hard for weeks prior to the competition, and gave their all on the day itself.
