Occupy... What?!?

Okay, I have to write about this because I am just in shock at how dumb these people are. Having worked at Walmart, I thought I had seen it all... the Crying Canceled Layaway Guy, The Saucepan Lady who returned multiple saucepans because they burnt her hand and did not contain a warning that they got hot.

Before you read this, keep in mind that I am definitely in the 99 Percent, but I can't agree with these peoples' ideas of blatant socialism

These people are worse than that. They are calling themselves the Occupy Movement. Read this excerpt from the Occupy Boston post on www.occupytogether.org:

"Higher Education for the 99% March at 12:30 PM. *Gather outside the Federal Reserve Bank, (600 Atlantic Ave. Boston 02210). Students and workers unite to demand: an end to student debt, good jobs for all, and education as a human right."

What the hell? What is wrong with this? Sound like socialism, anyone?

1) Higher education is already available for the 99%. It's called get off your stupid ass and work if need be. You want an education, but you want everyone else to pay for it? An education is not an entitlement beyond K-12. If you want more than that, you have to pay for it.

2) An end to student debt? We already have that too. It's called get a job and stop suckling the parental teat. Debt forgiveness? No. It's called PAY YOUR DAMN BILLS YOU MORONS!!! What is their problem? They went to college for what was probably a worthless Liberal Arts degree that MIGHT guarantee them around $25k a year salary and probably had $50k in student loans, and... NOW they want the government to "erase" this debt. WHAT?!?! This would be akin to me going and buying a flat panel TV for each room of my house and then asking CitiBank to erase the debt. You know what they're going to tell me? "Your call is important to us. Please remain on the line until we stop laughing at your request and then go f*** yourself." The moral of the story... don't take out more $ in student loans than your profession might pay in a year. Simple economics, yet so many people don't get this.

3) Good jobs for all? This in and of itself is retarded. What defines a good job? A job will be good to some people and less than so to others. A homeless gentleman might think that job at Wendy's paying minimum wage is a damn fine catch, but these whiney-ass liberal douchebag socialists want to get out of college and immediately land a job making $75k a year? Sorry, life doesn't work that way. You have to work your way up to that. I started with my Accounting degree at a job making at best a modest salary. While I make considerably more than I did, it's still modest at most. I had to prove myself every day, and it's paying off. It would be nice if the government could just wave a magic wand and BAM... good jobs for all... but the world just does not work that way.

I really hope nobody agrees completely with what this movement has become, because seriously, it is a joke. It is now made up of idiot assholes who think the world owes them a life of success that they did not work for. Do the rest of us have debt? Yes, it is a fact of live given this economy, but those of us that are responsible and educated aren't going to bitch about it and are going to do what we can to eliminate the debt. Do the rest of us want a good education? Yes, who doesn't? But those of us who are reasonable understand that there is a price to pay for this and are fully prepared to shoulder that burden in order to reach our goals. And finally, do the rest of us want good jobs? Yes, of course. But there are jobs of varying degree in this world, there has to be in order for it to thrive and survive. You may not think you have a good job (or in the case of these assholes, no job at all), but if that's the case it is up to YOU to do something about that problem.

I think these people should go occupy a third-world country if they think they have it so bad here.
