Another shift another reason to leave in the middle of the day.

At around two in the afternoon I received a phone call from my uncle Mark. He said he was going to be passing through the Cleveland area this evening and would like to hang-out for a while. Evey time he's passing thorugh I seem to be at work but for once I had enough advanced warning that I was able to secure coverage so I could go out to dinner or something.

He tried to contact me several times through out the day
but no matter when he called  I was out on a call.

We played phone tag until nine o'clock at night. When he called me from the highway and I guided him here (with directions) as if he were a passenger~piloting a jumbo jet.

He landed successfully.

We went out to dinner at BW-3's and caught up on old times.
He gave me all the updates about my family and friends back home and on the road. I do miss being on the road,
I would go back to it if I thought I could.
I would probably not be able to stomach working with my other uncle (S.B.) Carl again.
But that is another story all together!

Any way we had a pleasant dinner and he spent the night on our couch, I went back to work, I was able to call from work and talk to him before he left.he said he might be back next tuesday.

I hope he is able to stay longer.

I went back to work and didn't do any calls unil 6:30 in the morning. It was a transport to dialysis. It took an hour and a half but I didn't mind.

We got back in time for shift change, there was a new guy lingering about the station looking awkward. I asked him his name and gave him a hard time like I do to all of the new people, but he took it well and started out on the right foot. If he works out it will be nice. I am tired af all the new people being whiney lil' baby's. we'll see.

Herb was talking about the new ACLS guidelines and how it might be implimented. Although I have not heard any thing from our med control I have found some info on these new guidelines on the web. ACLS Guidelines Link

I had bunches of stuff to do on my days off and hope to have my motorcycle back on the road by the end of the week.
