Well I have to say that at this point in my life (Paramedic School) I have very little time for the things that I want to do. All there is in my life is School, Which isn't bad, Work, which I actually Enjoy and Clinical Rotations... Which I Hate.
The reason I don't work in an E.R. is because I like working out in the world with the people... To me it is absolute torture to work in an E.R. for free. Which is essentially what Clinical Rotation is. There seams to be no educational value to the E.R. rotation after the first 24 hours. When you finish attaining your required "Skills" Then you Go to a surgical rotation where there is no "Hour" requirement but a skill requirement of 5 Successful Intubations, Serious educational value. Then there's a psych rotation, Valuable for sure. Dialysis Rotation, Don't even Get me started on that. A Birth Requirement of 3 deliveries. and the Best Part an Ambulance Ride time Rotation More Free work but it at least it is what I do.
From Where I sit I can only draw one factual conclusion... This is punishment for wanting to do a better job at E.M.S.
In fact as I see it after paramedic school the only logical thing to do is Quit E.M.S. and Join Greenpeace, Sailing around the Globe in a state of blissfully poor hygiene stopping the Trade Ships from bringing the world their supplies for making more Toxic Sludge....
On that note it is off to work I go...
