The Return of the Kennergizer...

It was nice to pull into the parking lot this morning and see my partner walking into the station form his van.
At that moment I knew it was going to be a better "A" than the Last two "A"'s.

The Weather was around Fifty Five Degrees,
I was in a great mood.
Spring fever was coming on early.

The Quiet and peace of the day was interrupted only slightly when Tracey (92) asked If ken and I would do a trip for them
because she had to go to her daughters school (her kid fell. and might be hurt)
We said yes,
It was a transport,
So we took a few minutes to finish checking out the Monkey Bus before we left.

Just then 93 was dispatched on a Cardiac Arrest
("CPR in progress")
(which would have been 91's if we had not been nice to 92)

As we were going to cal enroute 92 called "in service"
and agreed to take the trip in stead of us...

93 went on that call
I dont know all of the details..
but it did seem that the patient
was faking a heart attack to get off of work.
(I 'm still curious how CPR was in progress)

Some how ken and I mannaged to avoid Patient Contact
untill about two pm.
Doing small details like taking a truck to the maintenance garage
or
posting at Station Four (for coverage of Lorain)
or
Getting Cancelled off of a transport because a patient isn't ready.

Luck day
For the Monkey Bus !
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"

We did a total of about five calls the whole shift!

The Best call of the day happened just before midnight.

We were Called by
The Ohio State Police
for a man who tried to swallow a "baggie of cocaine"
during a traffic stop. but gagged on it then spit it out.

The police were not able to ontain enough "residue"
to get a positive field test and could not prove it was cocaine,
So they had nothing to charge the man with...

He was Free to Go.

The Man didn't feel he needed medical attention
and was not obligated to go with us.

But...

He thought it would be a

"Good Idea"
to be checked out.

Now.

Ken and I both agree.
When you are Busted!
But get a Lucky break
you should say thank you and good bye.

He didn't.

After we transported him to the hospital
The police followed to
"get a statement"

While  the officer was taking the statement
he officer received a call from the "lab"
who were able to confirm that it was cocaine.
And the man was Promptly arrested.

So I guess What they say is true..

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
