So I arrive at work to find that my partner is Ill.
He will not be joining us today. Not the worst thing that could happen, I got to work with Brian. which is a treat.
Tammy got issued an "FNG" I have Decided to name him...
Linus. (As in the Peanuts Character with the blanket. Due to an unfortunate FNG mistake He put an expensive insulated (company owned)Blanket into the Hospital laundry...) I hope this name sticks... He has a good sence of humor. In addition to this... The Monkey bus Which was dammaged earlier this month, was also not there it was being fixed. which means that we were working in the "back-up" truck.
94 92 was replaced with a brand spanky new truck. Which is a newer version of 93 Making 94 the back up truck from now on! This is good... Because old 92 was a van, Cramped and old. 94 is a mini-mod which means more room for me!
But!
Apparently Dispatch was insistent on calling us 94... Historically you Identify by your unit number not the truck number, because...it avoids confusion I can hear your unit number over any "noise" that may be going on around me.
Calling me "91" is as good as calling me by my name. When I confronted dispatch they didn't sympathize with me... They were only doing what they were told by the "boss" and I can sympathize with that.
I warned them, that if I had to be called twice before I realized I was being called... It was not on purpose.
Although I am a Dick at times... Not today...
There was no time for it!
We were busy at night too.
It could have been worse. I could have been out all night but I was only on two calls.
And linus woke me up.. To tell me something most of Elyria already knows... I snore! To which I replied one word...
And...
In the morning he was on the couch...
At shift change I was Bitter and Salty!
Herb Brought up some changes he would like to make That would bring our third squad coverage to 20 hours a day.. A great thing! But you could hardly tell by my tone of voice I appologize for this... But that's me! and that's something else Most of Elyria already knows...
Good night.
