Gbor les was the number one seed in this tournament due to his win in last year's event. This made the two stars, Kojsza and Dunai meet in the semi-final, which ended with yet another Kojsza victory, the fourth one this season. Kojsza then went on to beat Pl Vantara 4-3 in an interesting final. Vantara showed a good form and when a Kojsza victory seemed sure, he was even presented with an unexpected free ball in the deciding frame after Kojsza tried to pot the pink but it came to rest on top of the cushion. This mistake brought Vantara 14 extra points but he then made some careless safety shots, a thing you cannot afford against Kojsza.
Dunai made the best break in his first match against Imre Nagy. The brilliant 90 point break could easily have been the first ever century in Hungarian competition but the missed red, an easy ball by Dunai's standard, refused to drop.
