After a tragic incident in 2002 there were a lot of changes in world the order. A world scale terror and war are shaking the international order violently in the area of politics, economics, and even sociology. Typical of this phenomenon, one might say, is the invasion of U.S.A into Afghanistan and Iraq. Even though the government of George Bush Walker had suffered the painful incident, he led a world into a result of many other deaths, in the end.
The people around the world faced the problem of terror at the World Trade Center in September, 11th with various point of views. Some people have claimed the terror 911 informs the end of the American era. In the other hand, some have asserted this event shows another possibility, and bringing anew future in America. Anyway, it is true that the terror 911 has changed the balance of the international politics. In a speech in 2002, Condoleezza Lice, who was the U.S National Security Aide, suggested that this period was very similar to the period since World War II, and she predicted that there would be a big change in the international politics.
Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the terror 911, the U.S government and American people are warring about ��conspiracy theories�� that claims the disastrous tragedy in September, 2002 may have been caused not by the invasion of other nations, but by a few of the powerful in America. ��Loose Change��, one of countering-pressure groups, the U.S government disclosed some questions together with some scientific evidence and pointed to the U.S Congress a need to reflect on themselves about what and how they behaved over the last four years. But the U.S government refutes the statement, ��Loose Change�� said, and there are absolutely no irregularities among their members. Then, how are ��Loose change�� and the U.S government different? And what is the truth?
Most bombing specialists insist upon the destruction of the second tower is very similar to the method of explosion which is commonly used in America and a lot of people who witnessed the World Trade Center��s falling down say they heard strange sounds of bombshell twice inside the building. As you see in the above pictures, the figure of explode looks same. And also there��s another noticeable proof in terrorists�� name lists. Even though FBI and CIA put out the name lists of 19 terrorists in two days after explosion, most of them are elite students who were studying abroad at that time and the name list that CNN Air Force had was different from the other one from FBI and CIA. The Foreign Minister in Saudi Arabia mentioned that five of the nineteen supposed members had never riding on the plane and they are still alive. How could it happen? There are a lot of scientific and geological evidence that is not solved yet including the above examples.
In the book called ��Chomsky, 9-11��, Avram Noam Chomsky does not spot Osama Bin Laden as the culprit. He said, ��The most important problem in this terror is not looking for a criminal but the way to cope with of the United States.��(210) It means that U.S government should plan new ways to deal with the other countries, not based on immoral attitudes like invasion by force, and should not deceive the American people through simply acting in revenge.
On the other hand, the administration of U.S.A shows that is completely an attitude against assertion of ��Loose Change�� documentary. The president of the United States, George Bush proclaimed he never deceived his nation and people. According to ��New York Times��, one of NIST member said, ��If a bomb was exploded within the building, the tower should have been destroyed from below because of gravity, however, the collapse occurred in the opposite way.�� And then he added ��We, researchers bring opinions together which is possible to come to pieces over 1000 Celsius.�� (Park, Opinions)
Captain Matthys P. Levy of Weldinger Associates in New York made a report about explosion and presented it like this: the truss system on the bottom does not matter at all. If trusses below the building were collapsed first, the mass of smoke could break out and be different from the smoke between floor and floor that ��Loose Change�� claimed. , Levi stated in the first report, one of his group members, suggested that ��The World Trade Center was well constructed and preserved its formation against the biggest shocking. And also we were able to save lots of peoples�� lives because of this strong structure.�� (Rho, Bush) As you look through the above, U.S government and Loose Change documentary has totally different idea about the explosion of twin buildings. Then how do Koreans think about this phenomenon?
Professor Lee, Cheol-Gi from Dong-Kuk University in Korea condensed a paragraph into a single sentence about the reasons of opposition in America. He summed up his idea why a conspiracy theory like ��Loose Change�� has affected U.S society: The behaviors of the Bush administration after such a big tragedy did not give trust to American, so it is only fair to criticize the U.S government. After the 911 terror, only a few people working in the military industry and Oil Company could make a profit; however, the rest of the population were all disappointed by the attitude of the U.S Executive doing nothing for them but consecutive supply for the war in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. In other words, if America was not attacked by foreign terrorists, he would absolutely invade the other nations which are doing annoying behaviors for U.S.A before long.
Some conspiracy refers to the 911 terror as not being an attack of Al Qaida, but a scheme of the U.S government itself, however, on the other side, the rest of 498(32.6%) Korean people said this theory is an outrageous idea. They claimed the ��Loose Change�� documentary was groundless and it does not have any scientific resources. Political parties of Korea such as ��Our Open Party��, ��The Democratic Liberal Party��, ��Grand National Party�� and ��Democratic Party�� focused on the relationship between North Korea and America concerning nuclear weapons rather than on the possible existence of irregularities in the 911 terror, although these parties already have seen the conflict of opinions in U.S.A and in Korea surrounding this crucial issue.
But in America, according to a recent public opinion poll of CNN from August 30th to September 2nd, about 45% of Americans think the Bush administrative is responsible for the 911 terror and this rate seems to have increased compared to 34% in a 2001 poll. Five years ago, the approval rate of George Bush went up from 50% to 90% and President Bush kept a rate of 60% for 16 months. He is the first president to keep an approval rate over so great a span of time. But now supporting rate of President Bush has gone down to about 30% because he destroyed his faith to the nation and invaded to Iraq.
Then, who is really pulling the straight the 911 terror? There are no tangible grounds for suspicion, although Osama Bin Laden is seen as the main culprit. But that does not mean the U.S government, itself, is not answerable to the world. One thing that is for sure is there must be a top secret agency among us. Even though culprits and criminals may have commended the explosion of the World Trade Center existing among us, we do not know exactly who they are and how they made such a complex plan with well sophisticated technique. It is true that some groups of people have done an elaborate work on the twin buildings in New York, and they also have deceived lots of people in the world. Now only God and the guilty men knew the truth. We can not decide whether opinions are telling the truth, eventually.
By some chance, a conspiracy theory like ��Loose Change�� could make President George Bush fall into a snare, and fling the people around the world into confusion. We have not secured anything but the war and much death of many people since the 911 terror. Eventually we bring about a bigger tragedy than terrible accident in 2001. It is not the fault of Bin Laden or a mistake of the U.S government, but the immoral state of minds of people who live around us. How the international situation will pan out in the future, for the better or worse, depends on our efforts to try to find out the hidden truth.
