I LOVE SPORTS!

Why do I love sports so much? Well, believe it or not, I hated sports when I was a little girl. I thought sports were the most boring waste of time ever. Imagine my dismay when I was 8 and found out that we were taking a family vacation to watch some baseball games. I threw fit after fit, but nothing worked; We were going to Atlanta. I loved touring Atlanta and had fun at all the places we went to, but when it came game time I was dead set against not going. I could not have been more happy to see RAINDROPS! falling the afternoon of the first game. I was determined that the game would be canceled and we could stay at the hotel and swim instead of going to the game. Was I ever in for a big surprise!?! I had no idea that the game would go on unless something like an earthquake hit the ballpark - even then I think some teams would want to play the game. So off we went to the game and that was the end of a little girl hating sports. There was just something about walking into the stadium for the first time that made me fall in love. Now, the Braves were playing the Giants (my dad being the Giants fan) in a four game series and the Giants had won the first two games, but the BRAVES won the two games we saw...so that is why I am a Braves fan. Who cared that they were losing 104 games a season at the time - I really did not understand that or even care. I feel in love with a team and have stuck with them ever since.
