Mrs. Nancy E. Farthing, 81, of Odin, Ill.,
died at her home Wed. Afternoon. Born
in Marion Co. In 1856, she had been
a resident of Odin for the last 52 years,
where she was a member of the So. Meth. Church.
She married Hamilton C. Farthing, Dec. 13,
1876, who preceded her in death in
1928.
Those surviving include 3 sons; Thomas
Farthing of Odin; Grover Farthing of
Kennard, Ind; and Samuel Farthing of
Washington, D. C. Four daughters, Mrs.
Richard Crane of Hartford Mich.; Mrs. Martha
E. Richason of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs.
Jessie Elder of Decatur, Ill. And Mrs. Homer
Tate of Odin: one sister, Mrs. Belle
Stevenson of Odin; also 4 half-brothers & one
half --sister. 19 grandchildren and
15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted from The
So. Meth. Church of Odin at 2 PM
Fri. afternoon, with the Rev. Robt. Serth officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest
Memorial Park.
Nancy lived in Odin for 52 years.
