The purpose of these promotions is not only to fill the stands at McMahon Stadium, but to give the fans a more joyful experience and hopefully one that is unforgettable to them. As well as getting to watch an exciting CsFL matchup in person, people that are included in the promotion get something a little extra. Those "extras" are listed below (Date & Week of the Game Listed)-
Preseason Week 1 - Chance to win FREE season tickets, giving away 10 packages. Introducing the 'Battle of Alberta Cup' it will be on display for fans to see the Cup that is presented to the overall winner of the games between the Calgary Stampeders and the provincial rival Edmonton Eskimos during the regualar season.
Regular Season 1 - Home opener, player introductions, fireworks, speech by Stampeders owner Ryan Lange, half time show features high school football, 2001 season review speech by Stampeders owner Ryan Lange, 25 Stampeders jersey's signed by players to be given away.
Regular Season 3 - Hat Day, when the Stampeders score their first touchdown of the game, fans throw Stampeders hats onto the field. Also, a chance after the game for two lucky fans to try and beat both Duncan O'Mahony & Sean Fleming in a FG Competetion, the rules are as follows: Fleming & O'Mahony kick from 45 yards out, the fans kick from 25 yards out, each person kicks the ball 4 times. Team scoring the most wins, if it ends up in a tie, the Stampeder kickers will go back another 10 yards, and the person will go out 10 more yards, and the first to miss loses.
Regular Season 4 - Player autograph session following game (players TBA), all fans invited to get items signed by Stampeders. Also a chance for 15 fans to win a "$15 Gift Certificate to Spolumbo's Restaurant".
Regular Season 6 - Fans Urged to Wear Red! Red shirts, red pants, red hats, red face paint! Red everything! Also, many McMahon Stadium employees will be going around looking for the "Craziest Dresses Stampeder Fan" and that person will win an "All expenses paid trip to the Week 7 game in Vancouver, hotel, transportation and game tickets will all be paid for, as well as $200 spending money."
Regular Season 8 - Game #1 of the 'Alberta Cup' between Esks/Stamps, another urge for fans to wear Red, Jersey giveaway, music by a group TBA. 5 Stampeders fans at half-time will compete in a contest to see which one can destroy a rather small stuffed Edmonton Eskimos mascot first. The winner wins "Free Transportation and game tickets to the Labour Day game in Edmonton a week later".
Regular Season 11 - Points for Charity Game, various Stampeders stats go towards a total of money donated to various charities on behalf of the Stampeders football club. The Stampeders will also be holding an auction at halftime in a section in the parking lot where fans can buy rare Stampeders things with the money going to charity.
Regular Season 12algary Sun Newspaper giveaway, each fan will receive a newspaper courtesy of the Calgary Sun. Also a Row of people will win a FREE Subway Sandwhich courtesy of Subway. One fan will also be selected to be on "Global TV Sports Night" where he/she can share their thoughts with Joe Sports and Grant Pollock about the game.
Regular Season 15 - Regular Season 15 - Celebrity Guest, contests to be held the week prior to the game will be to win tickets to sit with a celebrity of your choice (that has yet to be chosen by another winner), the celebrity's are TBA.
Also Stampeders Award Night, Players win awards based on various things. The players will be awarded in a presentation following the game.
Firework show also following the game, as well as a chance for fans to come out onto the field and get a picture taken with their favorite player.
