And Game Setup Options
The season starts today so good luck to everyone. I just wanted to make a few notes and send them to the group.
--Everyone will play one game per week. If you can’t play that week let me know. If you schedule a game you MUST show up on time or send an E-Mail before kickoff to let the other player know. If you miss 2 scheduled game times your game will be auto played or I will fill in for you. If you are having problems with another player not showing up please let me know.
--Watch your language when you are playing. I know some people have their children watching the screen so we should be a little careful about what we are typing.
--We are not playing with over usage so it is up to each coach to watch his player’s carries. Most leagues that I have been in say that if a RB has 125+ carries run him as much as you want. Also a QB should have 250+ attempts. Receivers should have 40+ rec. This really only applies to the 3rd down back. Sometimes their cards are inflated because they are supposed to be used sparingly. I am not going to enforce these limits, but be respectful of the other players. I don’t want people complaining that a back that ran the ball 22 times has 200 carries for the season.
--If you have any problems getting someone to reply to your E-Mails let me know at least by Tuesday so we can try to get the game in.
--Below is a snapshot of the options we will be using. I will explain some of them. The rb exceeding his longest carry was a 5-5 tie so I voted it down. Receivers will be able to exceed their longest catch. I guess people voted for this because of the hail mary option late in the game. I took penalties off the board because I will not play with them until strat does something to make them more realistic. You did vote to use home field advantage, but I decided against it. I wouldn’t have even put it up there if I had thought it through. I have had many games where the home team has had problems hosting and I had to host. If that happens with that option checked there could be problems importing the post file.
