  Some Barnes & Noble bookstores have a cafe, in which
chessplayers are welcome to sit and wait for pickup games, munch some food, or read a good book.

Pick a likely time, bring chess equipment, and patronize the store.
Contact:  None.  Do not call the store.

Stores known to have regular players are located at:
470 Universal Drive North,  North Haven
235 Union St.,  Waterbury
Burger King
Restaurants
  Some Burger King Restaurants have extra space or slack
times available to chessplayers. 
Someone may, or may not,
be taking responsibility for supervision, equipment, etc.  This varies.

Stores known to have regular players are located at:
644 Campbell Ave., West Haven
- Fridays,  late afternoon, evening.
- Social play, clock games.  No equipment furnished.  No fees.
- Contact:  None.  Do not call the restaurant.
McDonald's
Restaurants
  Some McDonald's Restaurants have extra space or slack
times available to chessplayers. 
Someone may, or may not,
be taking responsibility for supervision, equipment, etc.  This varies.

2439 Barnum Ave., Stratford (Bridgeport/Stratford line)
- Mondays,  late afternoon, evenings.
- Social play, clock games.  No equipment furnished.  No fees.
- Contact:  None.  Do not call the restaurant.

- New players on-site may ask for Burt or Jerry.
