Scholastic Gran Prix points based on number of wins will be awarded for each
event. The 10 students that garner the most cumulative points from all CT
chess tournaments between September and April will be awarded a free
scholarship to the National Championships.

New Haven Tournaments will be Game 15 and will be unrated events. The Open
Sections of each will have a minimum of 3 cash prizes, based on 8 entries.
$100, $40, $20 (depends on # of players)
5 Sections: Open, High School (9-12), Middle School (6-8) Elementary
(3-5), Primary (1-2)
5 Round Swiss with Time Control Game 15
Tentative Rounds: 10:30am with subsequent rounds and awards ceremony to
follow ASAP.
Trophies Awarded to top three places in each scholastic section
Registration: 9 to 9:45am. Fee $20.00
