| Procedures Page 2 Seating Charts/Taking Roll 1. Everyone is to sit in his or her assigned seat. 2. The seating chart will change periodically throughout the year, please check the board when entering the room. 3. If you are not in your assigned seat (the seat on the chart) you will be counted absent. 4. Taking roll is a necessary evil. Roll will be taken by the seating chart, and anyone not in his or her correct seat will be counted absent. 5. Anyone who is not prepared to start class (according to the entering the room procedures) will be counted tardy. 4. Please do not come to me with questions, complaints, or comments until after roll has been taken and the sheet hung on the door. I will address all questions when class starts. Needing Paper and Pencil 1. You must have your own paper and writing utensil every day. I will not loan paper or pencil. 2. If you need to sharpen your pencil, please do not do so while I am teaching. Wait until after the lesson. 2. You should have your binder everyday. Expect pop notebook quizzes. 100% if you have your binder and it is in order. When you are absent 1. You must come either come to me or to a class member to get your missed homework. 2. Daily grades cannot be made up. 3. Make-up work will be allowed for excused absences only. 4. If you do not understand the homework, you must come see me after the lesson is over. (You may also make arrangements to stay after school, to come in during activity period, or during lunch). 5. Any homework that was assigned before you were absent is due the day you come back to class. 6. Homework assigned during your absence is due the following class period after your return. Leaving the class (for illness, emergencies, etc.) 1. You may leave class only if you are called to the office. 2. I will not accept notes asking permission for students to leave the room unless those notes are from the office. 3. I will varify all notes. Heading of Papers 1. All papers must have the following in the top righthand corner: First and Last Name Date Class (8A, 8B, 9A, 9B, 10R, or 10Pre-AP) Assignment (Page #, Quiz #, Essay, etc.) 2. Improperly labled papers will result in 5 points off your grade on homework and 10 points off your grade on tests. Back |
