As the Southern forces begin to turn and run General Bernard Bee spots Jackson and his men and shouts," There stands Jackson like a stonewall let us rally behind the Virginiains." Moments later Bee was shot and killed, but the rest of the army reformed charged and routed the Federals. The fifth Regiment took credit as did many other units for capturing Ricketts' Federal battery. |
