| After is crushing morning surprise attack Jackson confers with Lee to tell him he is going to press the attack and hopefully destroy Hooker's Army of the Potomac. This is the last time the two will ever see each other. Within hours General Jackson would lay mortally wounded at the hands of his own men. He was shot while scouting out the Federal position in the twilight, by North Carolinians. |
