| Review After being axed in the head by Chris, Jason's presumably dead body was taken to the Wessex County Medical Center morgue, where he revives, kills two workers, and escapes. Meanwhile, in Crystal Lake, a group of teenagers, Paul, Samantha, Doug, Sara, Jimmy and Ted are on their way to a house in the woods that they've rented for the weekend. On their way, they annoy and pass a hitchhiker, who then gets killed by Jason. They also pass something that is part of the storied history of Crystal Lake-- The grave of Mrs. Voorhees. When they arrive, they are greeted by their neighbors, the Jarvises, Mrs. Jarvis, her teenage daughter Trish and her 12-year-old son Tommy, who mark the other of the two houses that deep in the woods. That was it, just the two. After some teenage antics, they turn in for the night. The next day, the group goes for a hike to Crystal Point, where they meet twins Terri and Tina, who decide to accompany them on their journey. They all wind up skinny-dipping in the lake, and when Trish and Tommy come by to say hello, they get a little more than they bargained for, so they leave. When they get on their way home, the car breaks down, and they get help from a stranger, Rob Dyer, who says he is in the woods to hunt bear, much to the chagrin of Tommy. After showing Rob his collection of horror masks and treating him to dinner, Rob goes on his way, Trish and Tommy go to town to get a part for their car, and Mrs. Jarvis goes for a jog. That night, the teenagers have a drunken dance party, and when Samantha sees Paul dancing with Tina, she gets pissed and decides to go for a cold swim-- and doesn't come back. After a while, Paul gets a guilty conscience and goes out to find Samantha. He finds her alright, but she's dead, and he joins her soon after. In the meantime, Tina falls for Jimmy, and they go upstairs for a romp. After holding off the advances of Ted, Terri decides she's had enough and decides to leave--without Tina. However, when she goes to get on her bike, she is speared from behind by Jason and added to the list. Next door, Mrs. Jarvis returns home to find the house empty and the power out. Soaking wet from getting caught in the storm, Mrs. Jarvis goes back outside to check it out-- and gets killed. Soon after, Trish and Tommy return home and find the house the same way Mrs. Jarvis found it-- empty and dark. So Tommy stays to try to fix the lighting and Trish goes out to try to find their mother. Instead, she dins Rob, who is forced to explain his real motive. Back at the house, Tina goes to freshen up for Round Two and Jimmy goes downstairs to show Ted who the true "lousy lay" was . Jimmy gets no reaction from the drunken Ted, and goes into the kitchen to look for the corkscrew. He finds it, but he also gets a cleaver on the side. Tina, looking for Jimmy, looks out the window and notices that both her and Terri's bikes are still there, meaning Terri couldn't have left. By the time she realizes the danger she is in, Jason crashes through the window and sends Tina plummeting to her death on the hard ground below. Ted, now knowing he has struck out big time, turns to an old stag reel for satisfaction. Doug and Sara, meanwhile, decide to spend the night together and go upstairs, leaving the inebriated Ted alone with his film. Ted then flirts with the girl on the film and then gets killed. Back in the woods, Rob explains to Trish that he is truly hunting Jason, who killed his sister Sandra (in Part 2). Trish tells him that Jason is dead, but Rob is able to convince her otherwise and they head back to the house to try to save everyone. After a shower with Doug, Sara goes to dry her hair, and doesn't hear Doug get killed in the shower. When she returns, she finds his dead body hanging out of the shower door and when she tries to escape, she is cut down by Jason with an ax. Back at the Jarvis house, Trish and Rob try to call for help, but Jason cuts the phone line. So, they decide to go next door to check it out, where Trish goes through the "find the dead friend" routine. When she tries to warn Rob in the basement. However, it is too late. Jason is in the basement and chops Rob down with a garden harrow. Jason then chases Trish back to her house, where Tommy has read all of Rob's articles on Jason and together, they prepare for battle... |
