| Sample of letter from my current Just Nan RR |

Hi everyone! I hope youre enjoying this round robin as much as Im sure I am. As Im sure you can guess, my piece is to be a band sampler. The outer perimeter is basted in white thread. There is a light blue basted line that marks horizontal center. The width of the project is 61 stitches on 28 count lugana. You may choose any band from any Just Nan pattern. I would like the finished piece to fit the overall theme of garden (flowers and vines, garden scene stuff, etc.) and garden friends (bees, butterflies, dragonflies, cats, rabbits, ducks, etc.). Bands can be modified for width and color when necessary. Ive included some threads and beads that can be used in the bands as you choose. You dont have to use these materials unless you want to do so. Ill attach a list of the included materials to this instruction letter. I have stitched two bands of octagons. I adapted these from Creativity. There are ten total octagons. Ive put my initials in one and stitched a background in another where I will put a charm when the stitched piece comes back to me. I would like to have each of you choose one of the remaining octagons to stitch your initials in. Please stitch your initials over one using one strand of Grape Mlange Silk-N-Colors. I have provided an alphabet from Remember. Theres room on the alphabet pattern you can use to chart your initials. Ive also included a chart of the octagon bands for you to use to help place your initials in the octagons. If you have difficulty with this, either the placement or the over one stitching, just chart your initials and leave a note for me. Im more than happy to stitch these in when I get the piece back at the end. You will find a chart of an original verse I wrote included in the package. Ive already stitched the first line. Please add in the rest of the lines where it seems appropriate to do so. I would like the verse to be backstitched using one strand of the Needlepoint Silk 674 that Ive included in this package. There is a notepad in this package. I would greatly appreciate it if everyone could tell me what bands from which patterns youve stitched as well as any other information you think I should know. Ive also included little cards for everyone as a thank you from me. I hope everyone enjoys this round robin! Happy Stitching! |
