| Soldiers Burning memories of eternal thoughts. Remembering unsung lives. Long-suffering ages. Cold ignited battles. Sins burning in smoke-filled minds. Wondering souls, heavens heroes. |
| A Sailor's Wife As I watched you walk away to board your ship. A tear fell from my eye as a piece of my heart breaks. For I know you may never return, to little Joey and I. I shall smile and wave as your ship sails away. For a distant shore and a war, I wish didn't have to be. But while you are away, I will pray each day for your safe return and cry at night in the fear you may not. I'm living a life of wonder and worry, waiting for an unwanted knock on my door. I will be strong for little Joey and assure him of your safe return and the day my heart will once again be whole. |
