Background Information:
Queen Adelaide died when Allura was only two years old being the first of tragedies for the young princess. Princess Allura, since then had been witness to many deadly undertakings by King Zarkon and the forces of Doom, starting with the enslavement of the Arusian people and then the murder of her father. Her father�s advisor, Coran, and her nanny, Ashleigh, had since taken it upon themselves in the raising of Princess Allura, teaching her everything that she would need to know for when she would be old enough to become the active ruler of Planet Arus. When Allura turned five she began attending the Royal Academy (a private school that was open to only the most privileged families on Arus), where she donned the name Alison for her protection. However, children being children still found something to pick on her anyway, turning her into a more isolated child. When the wars began the academy closed its doors sending its pupils back to their families. Nanny (as Allura always called her) went and gathered Allura and returned to the castle. Not long after Ashleigh received a message from her home saying that she was needed. Very reluctantly, with coercion from Coran she left.
At first the attacks were infrequent, but soon they increased in severity and frequency. Coran soon sent a communication requesting assistance from Galaxy Garrison. Due to troubles else where they could only send five young pilots
Commander Keith Kogane, Lieutenant Sven Holgersson, Lieutenant Lance McClain, Lieutenant Tsuyoshi "Hunk" Garret, and Lieutenant Darrell "Pidge" Stoker. Peace soon returned to Arus and the explorers were needed elsewhere and Allura was alone once again.
Allura was sixteen when the pilots arrived on Planet Arus.
