| Q: Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon: Crystal Origins? What's that? A: This is my first attempt at a game. I thought to myself, "What's an idea that may have been tried before, but I've never seen successfully done?" and came up with Crystal Origins! Q: So what is this game about, really? A: In honor of the 10th anniversary of Sailormoon as a manga, I've decided that the plot of this game will be to recreate things beginning at the start. We'll meet everyone again--from the beginning of Usagi's journey from irresponsible crybaby to sailor-suited agent of justice. Things will undoubtedly be changed along the way and that's what will make this game interesting. Everyone has their own ideas as to how things should go for this game and it's up to you as characters to make your decisions with your character. Changes can be very minor or huge! We want to keep the original ideas that surround the story but mix things up in a new and interesting way. Q: What version of Sailormoon is used for the backstory? A: For references, I will be referring to the manga version of the story. However, you are welcome to use your interpretations--be they from the anime or the manga--to build an interesting mix. Q: Okay. what can we do? Should we have to play exactly as the series went?! A: No! The point to this game is to change the season while still keeping only the most important things (i.e. Metallia is the villain, Usagi becomes sailormoon, Luna is working to find the princess, and so on...) but the rest of the series and ALL of the details are entirely up to you. Do you want to see another villain rival Beryl? Here's your chance! Think Usagi should have been with Motoki? It's all up to you!! Q: Cool! Why Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon? A: Because it has been 10 years since creator Takeuchi Naoko first presented us with the Sailor Team, I thought that this would be a fun way to celebrate. It's an undisputed fact that Sailormoon has international popularity and that it is one of the most successful animations in history. The story is rich and as Takeuchi-sensei once put it, "Why did it become a hit? I knew that, didn't worry me. It's because I put my life into it." I think that it's a pretty special story and that to begin again would be a fun exercise in writing. This is just something for fun and to celebrate this manga hit! Q: Where do i start?!
